الندامة: التحسر من تغير رأي في أمر فائت، ذكره الراغب. وقال أبو البقاء: اسم للندم، وحقيقته أن يلوم نفسه على تفريط وقع منه. وقال غيره: غم يصحب الإنسان يتمنى أن ما وقع منه لم يقع.
