المَهْىُ: تَرْقيقُ الشَّفْرَةِ. مَهَاها يَمْهِيها وأمْهاها وامْتَهاها.
والمِمْهَى: ماءٌ لِعَبْسٍ.
وهُمْ يَسْتَمْهُونَ في البُهَمِ: يُخَرِّقونَ الصُّفُوفَ في الحُروبِ فلا يُقْدَرُ عليهم.
