المَعْقُ، كالمَنْعِ: الشُّرْبُ الشديدُ، والأرضُ لا نَباتَ بها، والبُعْدُ، ويُضَمُّ، وفَسادُ المَعِدَةِ، وهو مَمْعوقٌ، وجَرْفُ السَّيْلِ، وسُوءُ الخُلُقِ.
ونَهْرٌ مَعيقٌ: عَميقٌ.
وبِئْرٌ مَعيقَةٌ: عَميقَةٌ،
وقد مَعُقَتْ، ككَرُمَ،
وأمْعَقْتُها.
وتَمَعَّقَ: تَعَمَّقَ، وساءَ خُلُقُهُ.
والأمْعاقُ: الأعْماقُ،
جج: أماعِقُ وأماعيقُ.
وتَمْعُقُ، كتَنْصُرُ: جَبَلٌ.
