الْمَشْهُور: مَشْهُور والْحَدِيث الْمَشْهُور مَا كَانَ مرويا من الْآحَاد فِي الأَصْل ثمَّ انْتَشَر فَصَارَ يَنْقُلهُ قوم لَا يتَصَوَّر تواطؤهم على الْكَذِب وهم الْقرن الثَّانِي وَمن بعدهمْ فَيكون كالمتواتر بعد الْقرن الأول. وَلذَا جَازَ بِهِ الزِّيَادَة على الْكتاب.
