اللَّعِب: هو فعل الصبيان يعقب التعب من غير فائدة قاله السيد ولَعِبَ الرجلُ ضد جَدَّ ومزح، أو فعل فعلاً بقصد اللذة والتنزُّه، أو غير قاصداً به مقصداً صحيحاً، أو فعل فعلاً لا يجدي عليه نفعاً، كلعب الورقِ والشطرنج وغير ذلك.
