اللقاء: اجتماع بإقبال، ذكره الحرالي. وقال الإمام الرازي: وصول أحد الجسمين إلى الآخر بحيث يماسه بشخصه. وقال الراغب. مقابلة الشيء ومصادفته معا، ويعبر عن كل منهما، ويقال ذلك في الإدراك بالحس والبصر، والإلقاء طرح الشيء حيث تلقاه، ثم صار في التعارف اسما لكل طرح.
