بالكسر وتخفيف الميم عند الأطباء هو أن يوضع الأدوية على العضو بشرط أن تكون يابسة كما يوضع الملح المسخّن أو النخالة المسخّنة في القولنج. وقيل يبسه ليس بشرط بل قد يكون رطبا وجمعه كمادات كذا في بحر الجواهر والأقسرائي.
