الكاثِبُ:
بعد الألف ثاء مثلثة، وباء، قال أبو منصور يقال كثبت الشيء أكثبه كثبا إذا جمعته، وقال أوس بن حجر:
لأصبح رتما دقاق الحصى ... مكان النّبيّ من الكاثب
يريد بالنبي ما نبا من الحصى إذا دقّ فندر، والكاثب: الجامع لما ندر منه، ويقال: هما موضعان.
