القِمار: مصدر قامر هو كل لعب يشترط فيه غالباً أن يأخذ الغالبُ شيئاً من المغلوب، وأصله أن يأخذ الواحدُ من صاحبه شيئاً فشيئاً في اللعب ثم عَرَّفوه بأنه تعليقُ الملك على الخطر والمال في الجانبين.
