القُلّةُ: جَرّة يُقلِّها إنسان هي بقدر ما يطيق حملها واحد والقلتين في حديث: "إذا بلغ الماء قلتين" قَدَّرهما الشافعي رحمه الله تعالى بخمس قِرَب وكل قِرْبة خمسون منّا فالقُلتان خمسمائة رطل ونصفُ مَنٍّ.

الْقلَّة: بِالْكَسْرِ ضد الْكَثْرَة. وبالضم وَاحِد الْقلَّتَيْنِ وَقدر الشَّافِعِي رَحمَه الله تَعَالَى الْقلَّتَيْنِ بِخمْس قرب وكل قربَة خَمْسُونَ منا فَيكون جُمْلَتهَا مِائَتَيْنِ وَخمسين منا وَهَذَا مَا قَالُوا القلتان خمس مائَة رَطْل والرطل نصف الْمَنّ.
