[في الانكليزية] Vertebra ،paragraph
[ في الفرنسية] Vertebre ،paragraphe
بالكسر وسكون القاف هي في الأصل حليّ يصاغ على شكل فقرة الظهر. وعند أهل البديع هي في النثر بمنزلة البيت من الشعر، وتسمّى قرينة أيضا. مثلا قولك هو يطبع الإسجاع بجواهر لفظه فقرة، وقولك ويقرع الأسماع بزواجر وعظه فقرة أخرى. هكذا ذكر في المطول في بحث الإرصاد.
