الغَيْهَبُ: الظُّلْمَةُ،
كالغَيْهَبانِ. واغْتَهَبَ: سارَ فيه، والشَّديدُ السَّوادِ منَ الخَيْلِ واللَّيْلِ، والرَّجُلُ الغافِلُ، أو الثَّقيلُ الوَخِمُ، أو البَليدُ، والكِساءُ الكثيرُ الصوفِ.
والغَيْهَبَةُ: الجَلَبَةُ في القِتالِ.
والغَيْهَبانُ: البَطْنُ.
وغِهِبَّى الشَّبابِ، كزِمِكَّى، ويُمَدُّ: أوَّلُه، لُغَةٌ (في المهْمَلَةِ) .
وغَهِبَ عنه، كفَرِحَ: غَفَلَ ونَسِيَهُ، وأصابَ صَيْداً
غَهَباً، محرَّكةً: غَفْلَةً بِلا تَعَمُّدٍ.
