والعَلْهَجُ: شَجَرٌ.
والمُعَلْهَجُ، كمُزَعْفَرٍ: الأَحْمَقُ اللَّئيمُ، والهَجينُ، وحُكْمُ الجوهَريّ بزيادَةِ هائِهِ غَلَطٌ.
