العاقل: شرعاً من له العقلُ بالملكة وهو علمٌ بالضروريات واستعداد النفس بذلك لاكتساب النظريات قاله السيد وراجع العقل. وفي "كشاف المصطلحات": "قال أهل المعرفة: العاقل من اتَّقى ربه وحاسب نفسه. وقيل: إذا اجتمع للرجل العلمُ والعمل والأدبُ يسمى عاقلاً، وإذا علم ولم يعمل، أو عمل بغير أدب، أو عمل بأدب ولم يعلم لم يكن عاقلاً".
Volunteers needed (having reasonably advanced knowledge of Arabic, and relatively good English): There are 20-40 dictionaries that can be added to The Arabic Lexicon once the digital versions are reviewed and any necessary corrections carried out (sometimes this can be done in a few hours).
