الصَّغير: هو الصبيُّ الذي لم يفهم البيع والشراءَ، ولم يفرِّق الربح والغَبن، ويقال للذي يميّز ذلك: صبي مُميِّز والصغيرة: مؤنث الصغير، وأيضاً من المعاصي خلافُ الكبيرة راجع الكبيرة.
