الصقيع: وَهُوَ الَّذِي ينزل بِاللَّيْلِ شَبِيها بالثلج يُقَال بِالْفَارِسِيَّةِ (شب نم افسرده وبرفك) وَفِي كنز اللُّغَات (صقيع مانندبرف جيزي كه برروي زمين مي افتد ازسرما) وَاعْلَم أَن الطل وَكَذَا الصقيع يحدثان فِي اللَّيْل وَنسبَة الصقيع إِلَى الطل كنسبة الثَّلج إِلَى الْمَطَر.
