الصد: المنع بالإغراء الصارف عن الأمر، ذكره بعضهم. وقال الراغب: يكون انصرافا عن الشيء وامتناعا عنه نحو {يَصُدُّونَ عَنْكَ صُدُودًا} . وقد يكون صرفا ومنعا نحو {فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ} . وقال الحرالي: الصد: الصرف إلى ناحية بإعرض وتكره.
