الشِّنْفِيرَةُ، بالكسر: نَشاطُ الناقةِ وحِدَّتُها،
كالشِّنْفَارَة، بالكسرِ، والرَّجُلُ السَّيِّئُ الخُلُقِ.
والشَّنْفَرى الأَزْدِيُّ: شاعِرٌ عَدَّاءٌ، ومنه: "أعْدَى من الشَّنْفَرَى".
والشِّنْفَارُ: الخفيفُ.
