الشَّوْذَقُ، كجَوْهَرٍ، والذالُ مُعْجَمَةٌ: السُّوارُ.
والشَّيْذَقُ والشَّيْذَقانُ (والشَّيْذاقُ) والشُّوذانِقُ: الصَّقْرُ، أو الشاهينُ، وضَبْطُ لُغاتِها في السينِ.
والشَّوْذَقَةُ: أن تأخذَ بأصابِعِكَ شيئاً كالصَّقْرِ.
