السِّمَغْدُ الطَّويلُ، وقيل الأحْمَقُ. والعَظِيمُ المُتَكَبّرُ.

والمُسْمَغِدُّ: الغَضْبانُ المُنْتَفِخُ غَضَبَاً. وهو الضَّعِيفُ أيضاً. والناعِمُ السَّمِينُ.

واسْمَغَدَ الجُرْحُ: وَرِمَ.
