السُّمْدُوْرُ
المَلِكُ، وسُميَ بذلك لأن الأبْصَارَ تَسْمَدِر عن النظَرِ إليه وتَتَحَير، وجَمْعُه سَمَادِيْرُ. وهو - أيضاً -: غِشَاوَةُ العَيْنِ. والاسْمِدْرَارُ: شِبْهُ السدَرِ فيه. وكَلام مُسْمَدِر: قَدِيْم. وطَرِيْق مُسْمَدِر: مُسْتَقِيم مُسْتَطِيل.
