هو في لفظ جمع سكسك، ولا أدري ما هو، فهو إذا علم مرتجل لاسم هذه القبيلة التي نسب إليها: مخلاف باليمن، وهو آخر مخاليف اليمن، وهو السّكسك بن أشرس بن ثور، وهو كندة بن عفير ابن عدي بن الحارث بن مرّة بن أدد بن زيد ابن يشجب بن عريب بن زيد بن كهلان بن سبا.
