الذبذب: الذكر لأنه يتذبذب أي يتحرك، من الذبذبة وهو نوس الشيء المعلق في الهواء، ومنه قيل للمتردد بين أمرين مذبذب، وهو من صفات المنافق. وفي الحديث: "من وقي شر قبقبه وذبذبه دخل الجنة" .
