بالكسر معجر المرأة وهو ما تستتر به المرأة. وفي اصطلاح السالكين: الخمار: هو احتجاب المحبوب. بحجاب العزّة، وظهور ستائر الكثرة على وجه الوحدة. وهذا مقام تلوين السّالك، كذا في كشف اللغات.
