الخراج: بالتثليث ما حصل من ريح أرض أو كرائها أو أجرة غلام ونحوِها ثم سُمِّي ما يأخذه السلطان، فيُطلق على الضريبة والجزية ومال الفيء وفي الغالب يختص بضريبة الأرض قال النسفي: "الخراجُ والغنيمة ما يأخذه المسلمون من أموال الكفار".
