تصغير الجوّ: موضع من الشباك على ضحوة غربي واقصة وصبيب على ميلين من الجوي، وفيه شعر يذكر في الحومان، وقيل: الجوي جبل لأبي بكر بن كلاب، وقال نصر: الجوي جبيل نجديّ عنده الماءة التي يقال لها الفالق.
