وما لَهُ ثُفْرُوقٌ: شيءٌ.
ولَبَنٌ مُثَفْرِقٌ: لم يَرُبْ بعدُ، وتَثَفْرَقَ اللَّبَنُ.

(الثُّفْرُوقُ) : قِمَعُ التَّمْرَةِ. وَهَذَا مَنْحُوتٌ مِنَ الثَّفْرِ وَهُوَ الْمُؤَخَّرُ، وَمِنْ فَرَقَ ; لِأَنَّهُ شَيْءٌ فِي مُؤَخَّرِ التَّمْرَةِ يُفَارِقُهَا. وَهَذَا احْتِمَالٌ لَيْسَ بِالْبَعِيدِ.
