بالفتح عند الأشاعرة مرادف الكون والوجود. وعند المعتزلة أعمّ منه ويجيء في لفظ الكون ولفظ المعلوم. ويطلق أيضا على وقوع النسبة وعلى إيقاعها أيضا ويجيء في لفظ النسبة.
