بالضم وفتح الخاء ناگوار شدن طعام وجزان أصله الوخمة قلبت الواو تاء. وعند الأطباء عبارة عن فساد الطعام في المعدة واستحالته إلى كيفية غير صالحة كما في بحر الجواهر.
