في اللغة البعث، وعند أهل العربية طلب الشيء بحثّ وإزعاج على ما ذكر في المغني في بحث الّا ولولا، حيث ذكر هناك أن العرض والتحضيض معناهما طلب الشيء، ولكن العرض طلب بلين وتأدّب والتحضيض من أنواع الإنشاء.
