التلقِّي: هو الاستقبال والمصادفةُ، وتلقي الجلب: أي المجلوب الذي يجاء به من بلد آخر للتجارة. وفي "المجتمع": تلقي الركبان هو أن يستقبل الحضريُّ البدويَّ قبل وصوله إلى البلد ويخبره كسادَ ما جمعه ليشتري منه سلعة بالوكْسِ وأقلَّ من ثمن المِثْل".
