التأبير: هو التلقيح ومعناه شقُّ طلع النخلة الأنثى ليُذرّ فيه شيء من طلع النخلة الذكر فتصلح ثمرتُه بإذن الله تعالى قال العيني: "وتأبير كل ثمر بحَسَبه وبما جرت عادتُهم فيه بما يثبت ثمره ويعقده".
