البُطْمُ، بالضمِّ وبضمتين: الحَبَّةُ الخَضْراء، أو شَجَرُها، ثَمَرُهُ مُسَخِّنٌ مُدِرٌّ باهيٌّ، نافِعٌ للسُّعالِ واللَّقْوَةِ والكُلْيَةِ، وتَغْلِيفُ الشَّعَرِ بوَرَقِهِ الجافِّ المَنْخُولِ يُنْبِتُهُ ويُحَسِّنُهُ.
