الاستيعاب: أخذ الشيء كله، يقال وعبته وعبا وأوعبته إيعابا، واستوعبته، كلها بمعنى. وفي التهذيب: الوعب إيعابك الشيء في الشيء حتى تأتي عليه كله، أو يدخله فيه جميعه. الاستيلاد: إحبال السيد أمته.
