إِسْتِجَةُ:
بالكسر ثم السكون، وكسر التاء فوقها نقطتان، وجيم، وهاء: اسم لكورة بالأندلس متصلة بأعمال ريّة بين القبلة والمغرب من قرطبة، وهي كورة قديمة واسعة الرساتيق والأراضي على نهر سنجل، وهو نهر غرناطة، بينها وبين قرطبة عشرة فراسخ وأعمالها متصلة بأعمال قرطبة، ينسب إليها محمد بن ليث الإستجي محدث ذكره أبو سعيد بن يونس في تاريخه، مات سنة 328.
