الإيهام: ويقال له: التخييل أيضًا، وهو أن يذكر لفظٌ له معنيان: قريب، وغريب، فإذا سمعه الإنسان سبق إلى فهمه القريب، ومراد المتكلم الغريب، وأكثر المتشابهات من هذا الجنس، ومنه قوله تعالى: {وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ} .
