أُبَيْر:
بضم أوله وفتح ثانيه وياء ساكنة وراء، بلفظ التصغير كأنه من الأبر وهو إصلاح النخل: عين بني أبير من نواحي هجر دون الأحساء، يشرف عليها والغ، واد بالبحرين. وأبير أيضا موضع في بلاد غطفان، وقيل ماء لبني القين بن جسر عن نصر.
