أولى: الأَوْلَى بالشَيء: الأَحْقّ به من غيره، وهم الأَوْلَوْنَ، والاثنان: الأَوْلَيان، وكذلك كلّ كلمة في آخرها ألف إذا جمعته بالنون كان اعتماد الواو والياء اللّتين قبل النّون على نصبه، نحو: مُثنَّى. وأَوْلَى: معروفٌ، وهو وعيد وتهدّد وتَلَهُّف.
