} الأَفْز: أهمله الجَوْهَرِيّ. وَقَالَ أَبُو عمروٍ: {الأَفْز} والأَفْر، بالزاي وَالرَّاء: الوَثْب، هَكَذَا نَقله الصَّاغانِيّ عَنهُ، وَنَقله صاحبُ اللِّسان عَنهُ أَيْضا فَقَالَ: {الأَفْز، بالزاي: الوَثبَةُ بالعَجَلة، والأَفْر، بالراء: العَدْو، ثمَّ قَالَ الصَّاغانِيّ: كأنّه مَقْلُوبٌ من الوَفْز، قَالَ شَيْخُنا: حقّ الْعبارَة أَن يَقُول: كأنّه مُبدَلٌ من الوَفْز، لأنّ الهمزةَ تُبدَلُ من الْوَاو، إِذْ لَا معنى للقَلبِ هُنَا إلاّ من حَيْثُ الإطلاقُ العامّ. يُقَال: أَنا على} إفَازٍ ووِفاز، كإشاحٍ ووِشاح وإسادةٍ ووِسادة. نَقله الصَّاغانِيّ.
