أ ز ز: (الْأَزِيزُ) صَوْتُ الرَّعْدِ وَصَوْتُ غَلَيَانِ الْقِدْرِ. وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَلِجَوْفِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَأَزِيزِ الْمِرْجَلِ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ» وَ (الْأَزُّ) التَّهْيِيجُ وَالْإِغْرَاءُ. وَمِنْهُ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّا} [مريم: 83] أَيْ تُغْرِيهِمْ بِالْمَعَاصِي.
