زمك: الزَّمَكُ: إدخال الشيء بعضه في بعض.

والزَّمِكَّى والزَّمِجَّى: أَصل ذَنَب الطائر، وقيل: هو منبته، وقيل:

هو ذنبه كله، يمدّ ويقصر. وقال الليث: سمي الذَّنَبُ نفسه إذا قُصّ

زِمِكّى.

والزَّمَكَةُ: السريع الغضب. وقد أزْمَأَكّ فلان يَزْمَئِكّ إذا اشتدَّ

غضبه، وقيل: المُزمَئِكْ الغضبانُ كان سريع الغضب أَو بَطيئه. وازْمَأَكّ

الشيء: لغة في اصْمَأَكّ. ابن الأعرابي:

زَمَكْتُ القرْبة وزَمَجْتها إذا ملأْتها.
