عُصَبَــةُ:
بوزن همزة، ويجوز أن يكون من الــعصبــيّة كأنه كثير الــعصبــيّة مثل الضّحكة الكثير الضحك:
وهو حصن جاء ذكره في الأخبار عن العمراني، وقال غيره: الــعصبــة، بالتحريك، هو موضع بقباء، ويروى المــعصّبــ، وفي كتاب السيرة لابن هشام:
نزل الزبير لما قدم المدينة على منذر بن محمد بن عقبة ابن أحيحة بن الجلاح بالــعصبــة دار بني جحجبا، هكذا ضبطه بالضم ثم السكون، والله أعلم.
