الكَذِب: نقيضُ الصدق فالكذب هو عدم مطابقة الخبر للواقع، وقيل: هو إخبار لا على ما عليه المخبر عنه وقد يجيء الكذب وهي الخطأ وهو ما كان من غير تعمد.
