بضم أوله، وكسر ثانيه، وياء مثناة من تحت ساكنة، وسين مهملة، وراء: بلد بما وراء النهر من ثغر أشروسنة، منها أبو القاسم حمد بن حميد الخديسري، روى عن عبد بن حميد، روى عنه أبو يحيى أحمد بن يحيى الفقيه السمرقندي.
