(الهِرْطَالُ، بِالكَسْر: الطَّوِيْلُ) ، كَمَا فِي الصِّحاح، زَادَ غَيْرُهُ: العَظِيْمُ الجِسْمِ، وَأَنْشَدَ ابْنُ بَرِّي لِلْبُولَانِيّ:
(قَدْ مُنِيَتْ بِنَاشىءٍ هِرْطالِ ... )
