مِخْلافُ جَهْرَانَ:
يقرب من صنعاء ويعدّ في بلاد همدان وفيه قرى، منها: ضاف وتفاضل وقرن عسم وقرن تراحب وقرن قبابل، ينسب إلى جهران ابن محصب بن دهمان بن سعد بن عدي بن مالك بن زيد بن سدد بن حمير بن سبإ، حدثني القاضي المفضل ابن أبي الحجاج قال: حدثني راشد بن منصور الزبيدي أن قبر روبيل بن يعقوب بظاهر جهران، وقال اللّحجي: جهران من بلاد عبس.
