(كَتَرَ) الْكَافُ وَالتَّاءُ وَالرَّاءُ. يَقُولُونَ: الْكَتْرُ. وَسَطُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ. وَقَالَ: الْكَِتْرُ: السَّنَامُ نَفْسُهُ. قَالَ:

كِتْرٌ كَحَافَةِ كِيرِ الْقَيْنِ مَلْمُومُ قَالَ الْأَصْمَعِيُّ: لَمْ أَسْمَعْ بِالْكِتْرِ إِلَّا فِي هَذَا الْبَيْتِ. وَيَقُولُونَ: الْكَتْرُ: الْحَسَبُ وَالْقَدْرُ.
