! الفِنْئِلُ كزِبْرِجٍ، أهمله الجَوْهَرِيّ، وَقَالَ الفَرّاءُ: هِيَ المرأةُ القصيرةُ، كَذَا نَقَلَه الأَزْهَرِيّ فِي ثلاثيِّ التَّهْذِيب، وَفِي كتابِ الوافِر، وَهُوَ بِالْقَافِ. قَالَ ابْن الأَعْرابِيّ: الفِنْئِل: رَقَبَةُ الْفِيل، نَقله الأَزْهَرِيّ أَيْضا.
