(ضَيَمَ) الضَّادُ وَالْيَاءُ وَالْمِيمُ أَصْلٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَهُوَ كَالْقَهْرِ وَالِاضْطِهَادِ. يُقَالُ: ضَامَهُ يَضِيمُهُ ضَيْمًا. فَهُوَ اسْمٌ وَمَصْدَرٌ. وَالرَّجُلُ الْمَضِيمُ: الْمَظْلُومُ. وَبَقِيَتْ فِي الْبَابِ كَلِمَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ، يُقَالُ: إِنَّ الضِّيمَ - بِكَسْرِ الضَّادِ -: جَانِبُ الْجَبَلِ. قَالَ الْهُذَلِيُّ:
