وصاك الدمُ: يبس. وَهُوَ من ذَلِك؛ لِأَنَّهُ إِذا يبس لزق.

(صَيَكَ) الصَّادُ وَالْيَاءُ وَالْكَافُ، يُقَالُ صَاكَ يَصِيكُ، إِذَا لَزِمَ وَلَصِقَ. قَالَ الْأَعْشَى:

وَمِثْلُكِ مُعْجَبَةٌ بِالشَّبَا ... بَ صَاكَ الْعَبِيرُ بِأَجْسَادِهَا

وَقَالَ الْخَلِيلُ: أَرَادَ صَئِكَ، فَلَيَّنَ الْهَمْزَةَ. وَيُقَالُ: صَئِكَ الدَّمُ، إِذَا جَمَدَ.

وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ الْأَلِفَ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ مُبْدَلَةٌ ; فَالصَّابُ: شَجَرٌ مُرٌّ، مُحْتَمِلٌ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْوَاوِ. قَالَ:

إِنِّي أَرِقْتُ فَبِتُّ اللَّيْلَ مُرْتَفِقًا ... كَأَنَّ عَيْنِيَ فِيهَا الصَّابُ مَذْبُوحُ وَالصَّادُ: قُدُورُ النُّحَاسِ، وَالْأَلْفُ مُبْدَلَةٌ. قَالَ حَسَّانُ:

رَأَيْتَ قُدُورَ الصَّادِ حَوْلَ بُيُوتِنَا
